CUT ILL - Who can request an Inter Library Loan?
Inter-library loans (ILL) are services where a library can borrow a book(s) and request an article(s) from another library that owns or has title holdings on behalf of CUT employees and postgraduate students.

CUT Inter-library loans is a service that is used to request books and articles that are not available in the library, from The Southern African Development Community (SADC) libraries.
If the library item you need to get hold of is not in our library catalogue and our E-Resources, then you may proceed with Inter-library loan request.

Requesting Books
Requesting BooksBook title requests may be made using the ILL Request Form or the Faculty Librarian.
Book requests can take a little longer to arrive as they must be posted from the lending library to the CUT Library.
The process could take 1 to 2 weeks before receiving a requested title.

Requesting Journal ArticlesJournal article requests can be made using the ILL Form and the Faculty Librarians.
The availability of the article when supplied to our section, will be shared with you based on the email address supplied in the form.
