Placing Photocopies on Short Loans

The Copyright Act 98, of 1978, governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under the provisions of the Act libraries and archive depots are authorised to supply photocopies or other reproductions. One of these provisions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be used for any purposes other than private study or personal or private use.

All photocopies (e.g. articles or chapters of a book) placed in the Short Loan Collection, must have a copyright clearance form attached.
