What do I need to be able to access the e-book
A valid library card or student ID: You will need to be a registered library user.
Once you have a library card or student ID, you will need to log in to the library's website and access TechWiz. This will require you to use a E-thuto login authentication system, such as your university credentials.
Access to a compatible device or software: you may need to use specific software or devices to access the e-books. For example, use Adobe Digital Editions to download and read e-books.
Reading e-books online
- You can read eBooks online with standard software on most computers and portable devices.
- If special software is needed to open and read an eBook online, the eBook will often provide its own (e.g. eBook Central) software.
- On Library computers, you can only read the eBook online.
What to remember about e-books
- Not all books are available in e-Book format.
- Most library eBook collections are presented in formats intended for viewing in a browser on a computer.
- Due to our licensing agreements with publishers, some eBooks in our collections are limited to one user at a time.
- Typically, eBook files will be in either PDF or ePub format. PDF files don’t adapt well to various-sized displays and devices; therefore, it is difficult to view some PDF files on small screens that come with smartphones, tablets, and eBook readers. ePub is the preferred eBook file format as the text reflows to fit the screen's dimensions.
Copy right, e-mail download and printing

- Copying: text can be highlighted and copied
- Printing: either page by page or the whole chapter if the e-book is in pdf format
- Downloading: available if the e-book is in pdf format
- E-mailing: individual books cannot be e-mailed, but some databases allow lists of titles to be e-mailed
